From its humble beginnings over 100 years ago until today, Christian Faith Center (“CFC”) has remained
true to its mission of meeting the overall needs of individuals, as well as the community.

CFC was formerly known as First Baptist Church of Creedmoor and first established in 1911. In 1974
Bishop Mack Timberlake was named Senior Pastor of the 35-member First Baptist Church.  Bishop Timberlake, along
with his wife, Pastor Brenda Timberlake, entered into full-time ministry together in 1979.

In 1986, First Baptist Church was officially changed to Christian Faith Center of Creedmoor, Inc., and later
received its official 501(c)(3) non-profit designation by the IRS on February 13, 1989.

Also in 1989, CFC established Christian Faith Center Academy to provide Christian-based educational training
for students. In 1992, CFC sponsored and completed the construction of The Royal Pavilions of Creedmoor, Inc.,
a 28 unit housing complex for the elderly and disadvantaged subsidized by the Department of Housing and
Urban Development.

Due to the substantial increase in membership, in 1995 CFC completed the construction of the Baby Ark
Complex, an 72,000 square-feet facility, built on nearly 100 acres, containing a state of the art sanctuary; the
CFC Academy; the Christian Faith Child Development Center; multiple office sites for full time staff members; the
Wisdom Room Bookstore & Cafe; a full-service cafeteria; a competition-sized gymnasium;
recording studio and television production/editing suite, and a computer lab.

After Bishop Timberlake’s passing on January 29, 2002, Pastor Brenda Timberlake was officially
installed as Senior Pastor of CFC on February 10, 2002. In 2004, Pastor Timothy Timberlake joined his mother
in ministry as Co-Pastor.  In 2007 the Raven’s Nest Center, a 7500 sq. ft. warehouse facility, was completed
to house the Raven’s Nest Food Bank.

Currently, CFC continues with its numerous programs and outreaches which include: CFC Academy;
Christian Faith Child Development Center; CFC Wisdom Room Bookstore & Cafe; Raven’s Nest Food Bank;
The Royal Pavilions of Creedmoor, Inc.; Family First of Granville-Vance County; CFC Bible College; Youth
Ministry; Teen Ministry; Golden Eagles Seniors Ministry; Singles Ministry; Worship and Arts Ministry and others.
